I love this piece. In case you can't tell, it's a teapot. It's functional too, not that I'd use it. It's reeeeeally heavy. It's entirely hand-built. As you can see from the picture, it's in three parts. The 'tray' in which 6 of the tentacles are mounted, the main body of the teapot, and the lid. The other tentacles are on the actual teapot to serve as the spout and handle. The two tentacle mounted on the tray that are sticking out were meant to hold two cups. Someone at school must have stole the cups before I could pick up the piece, because I didn't find them ;__;

In case you're wondering, I made each of those suckers one-by-one by rolling out a small ball of clay and poking it with the handle of a needle tool. Every. Single. One.

All of the tentacles on the tray, except for one, broke off during the firing. I glued them back on, and I was expecting something to break, so I wasn't too displeased.

I love how the glaze came out on this piece, even though some of the glaze didn't make it into some of the suckers. It was the first time I used this glaze on a piece because it looked really ugly on the sample tiles.
